A healthier option

Loneliness, is what i feel most of the day,

though we share a life in every way,

we are so near, yet so far apart

not attuned to whats going on in eachother’s heart

Scare, frightened,

feeling so insecure,

not knowing what will come,

so much to be unsure

Sadness, anger, and so much pain

in this situation do we want to remain?

Groping in the darkness, feeling dispair

Is there a way to get out of here?

A glint of light from the distance, hinting to a road not taken

from our slumber we are suddenly awaken,

There is another path,

One that can us out of this wrath,

It requires a deeper look inside

one of honesty with pride aside.

IThe new road brings us to a place,

where we can begin to imagine our days at a differen pace,

the days beginning with a brightness with a light,

So much happiness to recall from what was the previous night,

Time spent together, bonding, enjoying, living,

Acts of Kindness, and so much giving,

The path untaken it is unpaved and requires work,

but the benefits that are reaped is definitely a perk,

We can have that life, it is within our grasp,

we just have to believe in ourselves,

That truly is our task
